Your Funny

It has been a while since I felt charming.

At the store yesterday the woman stocking the shelves had her little cart right in front of the shaving cream I was shopping for. She apologized for being in the way and said if I needed any help just to ask. I told her that I have had a beard for long time and have not purchased shaving cream an a few years. I was kinda fascinated by how far the market for facial lather decompression technology has come since my day of semi-regular grooming. She laughed and could see how such a normally benign task is fresh to me. She asked if I recognized myself. I said yeah, but not at first. I did not remember my nose being as big as it actually is. She laughed again and said "You're funny"

I never chat up strangers much. I was in a good mood. I am in a good mood. I feel like a guy with endless tangible possibilities. Like the distant goals of fulfilling careers and degrees and earned success and a life worth living are approaching fast. Like your destination on the lists of distances on the side of the road, 90 miles to Lafayette, 198 miles to Bloomington, 567 miles to Huntsville...

(btw, the title is me being facetious.)
